Now that you have got a good ketogenic week diet in your hands, let me help you understand how keto works. Basically, a ketogenic diet is a diet that helps you lose weight, burn fat & improve your health.

It’s a low-carb, high-fat meal plan that works in a way that puts your body in a natural weight loss state called “ketosis”.

Why choose the Keto Diet?

Proven by a lot of scientific studies, the keto diet is one of the best and most effective weight-loss diets today.

This diet puts your body in a state where it starts to use fat instead of carbs as a source of energy. Your insulin levels drop and the burning of fat increases drastically, which makes it really easy to access your stored fat and burn it off.

This sudden lifestyle change & eating habits help you see great results. Plus, the results are faster if you commit to the ketogenic diet with all your heart.

I’ve helped people lose a good amount of excess weight in the first week of the keto diet. Although, you can think of losing around 10 pounds as a rough figure.

You should keep in mind that the body reserves a lot of water because of the excess consumption of carbs. Hence, the initial fast weight loss is simply the removal of excess water in your body.

Two weeks into the Keto Diet.

The weight loss isn’t as fast as it is in the first week. It is because your body adapts to keto as it starts burning fat instead of carbs for energy.

You should be very strict & disciplined towards your keto diet if you have a lot of excess weight to lose. This diet is your best shot to attain an hourglass figure (a thin-fit figure for men).

How does Keto Work scientifically?

When attained the ketosis state, keto works by consuming:

  • 5% of your calories from carbs
  • 20% of your calories from protein
  • 75% of your calories from fats

The term “keto” comes from “ketones” – the name given to small fuel molecules in the body. These ketones are produced when the food you eat includes very few carbs & a moderate amount of protein.

The excess amount of fat that you consume is converted in the liver to ketones which then enter the bloodstream. Following, the ketones are used as fuel by the cells in the body.

Even your brain uses “ketones. “

Ketosis offers your body and brain an almost unlimited supply of energy, increasing your mental and physical endurance. Other than that, it also specializes in reducing your hunger which simply speeds up the weight loss process.

Medical helps that Keto offers:

  • helps reverse type 2 diabetes
  • helps control epilepsy
  • improves several other conditions like acne, PCOS, even brain cancer

Bottom Line.

So I guess you’re now sure what “ketogenic diet” is. Personally, I’ve helped some friends and a good amount of my readers lose weight using the “keto diet”.
